On October 4th, the CSDA Board of Directors was pleased to sign a chapter affiliation agreement with the new Solano-Yolo Bi-County Special Districts Association (SYBCSDA). The previously-established Solano Chapter has been created for four years previously and is now growing their membership to include Yolo County special districts.
In addition to the expanded Solano-Yolo Chapter, there are six other CSDA-affiliated chapters in CSDA’s Bay Area Network, collectively covering Alameda, Contra Costa, San Mateo, Marin, Santa Clara, Sonoma and Napa counties. CSDA now boasts twenty-six affiliated chapters statewide.
The Solano-Yolo Chapter provides a space for networking, discussing policy issues, and sharing best practices. Local leaders from around the region will gather to discuss legislation and current events. The inclusion of Yolo County will allow additional districts to benefit from relationship-building and collective knowledge throughout the two counties.
Affiliation with CSDA gives chapter members access to top notch speakers, professional development trainings, communication platforms, and timely updates on legislation in Sacramento, as well as Washington, D.C., through the National Special Districts Coalition.
CSDA is committed to establishing connections with special districts throughout California with its District Networks and chapter affiliation program. The CSDA Board is delighted to welcome the newly expanded Solano-Yolo Bi-County Special Districts Association and looks forward to enhancing support to new chapter members.
The first meeting for the new Solano-Yolo Bi-County Special Districts Association will be held virtually on Tuesday January 21, 2025, from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. and will take place quarterly on the 3rd Tuesday every three months thereafter. All special district representatives are invited to attend. Please see additional meeting information below.
