FY 2024 WASTE: Waste Analysis and Strategies for Transportation End-uses  

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to aid communities with resource and energy recovery strategies associated with their organic waste streams. Grants are available in Topic Area 1 to help communities beyond a conceptualization phase by supporting more in-depth feasibility or scoping analysis, while Topic Area 2 is targeted towards communities that have previously completed feasibility analysis and are seeking funding to further refine their project concept. WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program will support targeted efforts to address youth violence through implementing evidence-based prevention and intervention efforts in a school-based setting (K–12th grade only). Click here for more information.

WHO'S ELIGIBLE? State, city, and township governments, public-and state-controlled institutions of higher education, county governments, Native American tribal organizations, Native American tribal governments, nonprofits, private institutions of higher education, for-profit organizations other than small businesses, independent school districts, and units of local government

FY 2024 Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program will support efforts by state, local, and tribal law enforcement and prosecution agencies and their partners in conducting outreach, educating practitioners and the public, enhancing victim reporting tools, and investigating and prosecuting hate crimes committed on the basis of a victim’s perceived or actual race, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or disability.  Click here for more information.

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program supports a comprehensive approach to addressing abuse in later life, including domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, neglect, abandonment, economic abuse, or willful harm committed against victims who are 50 years of age or older. Click here for more information.

WHO'S ELIGIBLE? States, units of local government, tribal governments or tribal organizations, population specific organizations, victim service providers, and state, tribal, or territorial domestic violence or sexual assault coalitions

FY 2024 Youth Justice and Mental Health Collaboration Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program supports cross-system collaboration to improve responses and outcomes for youth under the age of 18 or youth under the jurisdiction of the juvenile justice system with mental health disorders (MHD) or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders (MHSUDs) who come in contact with the juvenile justice system. Click here for more information.

FY 2024 Rural Community Innovations: Transportation Planning Grant

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program offers funding for communities to develop a transportation plan that addresses accessibility and equity. Planning activities will identify transportation barriers, consider current and future community needs, actively engage older adults and people with disabilities in the process, and create or strengthen multi-sector collaborative partnerships. Click here for more information.

WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Rural, local, and regional private nonprofit or government organizations, including but not limited to: public transit agencies, councils of government, metropolitan or rural planning organizations, tribal agencies, area agencies on aging, community action agencies, centers for independent living, disability service organizations, and community organizations involved in the administration, delivery, or coordination of public transit, human services transportation, aging, or disability services

TOTAL FUNDING AMOUNT? $420,000
