FY 2023 Community Connect Grant Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program provides financial assistance to eligible applicants that will provide service at or above the broadband grant speed to all premises in rural, economically-challenged communities where broadband service does not exist. The deployment of broadband services on a “community-oriented connectivity” basis stimulates economic development and provides enhanced educational and health care opportunities in rural areas. FY 2023 Public Works and Economic Adjustment Assistance 

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program assists communities and regions in devising and implementing long-term economic development efforts through a variety of non-construction and construction projects. Through this program, the funding agency intends to advance general economic development in accordance with its investment priorities, but also to pursue projects that, where practicable, incorporate specific priorities related to equity, workforce development, and climate change resiliency so that investments can benefit everyone for decades to come. Funding will support bottom-up strategies that build on regional assets to spur economic growth and resiliency, and applicants are encouraged to propose initiatives that present new ideas and creative approaches to advance economic prosperity in distressed communities. FY 2023 Rangeland Resource Management Program 

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program administers grazing for more than 155 million acres of public land. This includes, but is not limited to, such things as inventorying, controlling, and managing noxious weeds and invasive species; improving rangelands through grazing management, vegetation restoration treatments, and grazing management structures; and soil resource management. FY 2023 Inflation Reduction Act: Threatened and Endangered Species Program 

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program aims to conserve and recover federally-listed and Bureau sensitive animal and plant species and their habitat on public lands. The program also shares cooperative responsibility with other Bureau of Land Management (BLM) programs and partners for conservation of more than 2,700 non-listed BLM sensitive species with a goal of avoiding the need to list them in the future. The funding agency is looking for projects that are state or regional in scope or projects that provide a programmatic approach for improving the Bureau effectiveness or efficiency. Click here for more information.

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to ensure self-sustaining populations and a natural abundance and diversity of wildlife on public lands for the enjoyment and use of present and future generations.
