Department of Health and Human Services

FY 2022 Rural Emergency Medical Services Training Grants

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to recruit and train emergency medical services (EMS) personnel in rural areas, with a particular focus on addressing mental and substance use disorders. The program aims to address the great need for emergency services in rural areas and the critical role EMS personnel serve across the country. Click here for more information.

WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Rural emergency medical services (EMS) agencies operated by fire-based and non-fire-based local or tribal governments and nonprofit EMS agencies. Projects must serve rural areas or residents of rural areas

Department of Homeland Security

FY 2022 Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Grant Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to assist in increasing the number of firefighters to help communities meet industry minimum standards and attain 24-hour staffing to provide adequate fire protection from fire and fire-related hazards, and to fulfill traditional missions of fire departments. Awards will allow recipients to respond to emergencies more effectively and safely, with a reduction in response time and an increase in the number of trained personnel assembled at incident scenes. WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Volunteer fire departments, combination fire departments, career fire departments, and national, state, local, and tribal organizations that represent the interests of volunteer firefighters

FY 2022 River, Trails, and Conservation Assistance Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program supports community-led natural resource conservation and outdoor recreation projects across the nation. The program will partner National Park Service conservation and recreation planning officials with award recipients to help local communities realize their conservation and outdoor recreation vision goals and provide a broad range of services and skills. Click here for more information.

WHO'S ELIGIBLE? State, local, or federal government agencies, tribal governments, nonprofit organizations, community groups, and national parks

Department of Interior

FY 2022 Paul Bruhn Historic Revitalization Grant Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to support the rehabilitation of historic properties to foster economic development of rural communities. Funding will support preservation projects for historic sites to include architectural/engineering services and physical preservation. Click here for more information.

WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Nonprofits, tribal historic preservation offices, state historic preservation offices, certified local governments

WHEN'S IT DUE? February 22, 2022

 

National Science Foundation

FY 2022 Energy, Power, Control, and Networks

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program encourages research on emerging technologies and applications including energy, transportation, robotics, and biomedical devices and systems. Funding will support innovative research in modeling, optimization, learning, adaptation, and control of networked multiagent systems, higher-level decision-making, and dynamic resource allocation, as well as risk management in the presence of uncertainty, subsystem failures, and stochastic disturbances. Click here for more information.

Department of Agriculture

FY 2022 Electric Infrastructure Loan and Loan Guarantee Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program makes loans and loan guarantees to maintain and improve electric infrastructure in rural communities nationwide in order to increase economic opportunities and quality of life. The loans and loan guarantees finance the construction of electric distribution, transmission, and generation facilities, including system improvements to improve electric service in rural areas, as well as demand side management, smart grid, energy efficiency and conservation programs, and on-grid and off-grid renewable energy systems. Click here for more information.

Department of Transportation

FY 2022 Regional Infrastructure Accelerator Demonstration Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The intent of this program is to demonstrate and evaluate the viability and effectiveness of a small number of accelerators in expediting the development and delivery of specific transportation projects within five designated regions: Cleveland, Chicago, Fresno, San Diego, and Seattle. Click here for more information.

Public entities, including a state, multi-state or multi-jurisdictional group, municipality, county, a special purpose district or public authority with a transportation function including a port authority, a tribal government or consortium of tribal governments, metropolitan planning organizations, regional transportation planning organization (RTPO), Regional Transportation Commission, or a political subdivision of a State or local government
