Recent catastrophic wildfires serve as a wake-up call for public officials to improve infrastructure for the water flow and storage necessary for modern fire standards. Special districts have been working aggressively to invest in improving our water infrastructure for fire suppression. Still, there are currently no state or federal funding programs to help communities afford these critical projects. Special districts have the tools to get the job done, and they seek partnerships to bring resources to the table.
