FY 2025 Environmental Health Specialists Network: Practice-Based Research to Improve Food Safety  

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to improve retail food safety by identifying evidence-based strategies for reducing risk factors in retail food establishments and supporting improved foodborne outbreak investigations. Click here for more information.

Entities that can demonstrate governmental authority and responsibility to regulate and oversee retail food service establishments in their jurisdictions, including local governments; academic institutions; Federally recognized Native American tribal governments; nonprofit organizations; private sector organizations; schools and school districts; state governments; public/Indian housing authorities; and tribal organizations and institutions

This program funds investigator-initiated research proposals to conduct a well-designed study within two or more assisted living facilities serving a diverse patient population to adapt, implement, and evaluate STEADI-based older adult (age 65+) fall prevention. Click here for more information.

FY 2025 Neotropical Migratory Bird Conservation Act (NMBCA) Grant Programs

The purpose of this program is to support projects that promote the long-term conservation of neotropical migratory birds and their habitats, by sparking partnership-based conservation; supporting hundreds of public-private collaborations; energizing local, on-the-ground conservation efforts; achieving habitat protection and other critical bird conservation activities in 36 countries; and building conservation capacity in local organizations.  Click here for more information.

FY 2024 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to provide additional personnel, equipment, supplies, contractual support, training, technical assistance, and information systems for criminal justice or civil proceedings to states to support a range of program areas. WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to provide funding for eligible entities to carry out cleanup activities at brownfield sites owned by the applicant. Click here for more information.

Local governments, land clearance authorities or another quasigovernmental entity that operates under the supervision and control of, or as an agent of, a general purpose unit of local government, government entities created by a state legislature, regional councils or groups of general purpose units of local government, redevelopment agencies, states, Indian Tribes other than those located in Alaska, Alaska Native Regional Corporation, Alaska Native Village Corporation, and Metlakatla Indian Community, nonprofit organizations, limited liability corporations in which all members are nonprofits, and qualified community development entities

This program provides funding for developing inventories of brownfield sites, prioritizing sites, conducting community involvement activities, conducting planning, conducting site assessments, developing site-specific cleanup plans, and developing reuse plans related to brownfield sites.
