Covid_Relief_federal_325x186.pngLast week, legislative budget committees passed the Legislative Version of the 2021-22 State Budget. This package will likely be voted on this week and Legislative leaders and the Governor’s office are already negotiating final proposals.

After months of advocating, and hundreds of districts joining in support and reaching out to lawmakers, the Legislature has included several proposals that would extend access to special districts with COVID-19 fiscal impacts, including a $100 million dollar fund for special districts with fiscal impacts from pandemic response. Thank you to all who have reached out to your representatives and stakeholders – but, the work is not yet finished.

We need your help to ensure the funding is included in the final budget package.
