FY 2021 Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS) Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program provide resources to collect, analyze, and store motor vehicle safety data under the funding agency's records-based data collection programs, including the Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS), which is a census of all police-reported fatal motor vehicle crashes in the United States, and the Crash Report Sampling System (CRSS), which is a sample of police-reported crashes involving motor vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists.
