California Fire Foundation’s Fire Prevention Grant Program

Funding opportunities to aid in fire prevention and mitigation are now available through the California Fire Foundation’s Fire Prevention Grant Program, which many special districts may be eligible to apply for. The grant program has funding available of up to $15,000 per grantee and is accepting grant applications on a rolling basis.


Fire Relief & Prevention Grants, Summer 2020

Applications open: June 1, 2020

Deadline: July 15, 2020

Funding Range: Up to $15,000 per grantee

Eligibility: California-based fire departments, firefighter associations, fire safe councils, nonprofit safety-focused, community organizations.

Projects related to: Personal protective equipment, specialized firefighting equipment, fuel mitigation, first responder training, fire safety and prevention education, and planning and outreach programs, subject to COVID-19 social distancing and/or state reopening guidelines, where applicable.
