Grant Announcements:

  • FTA Ferry Grant Program: The FTA announced the availability of $657 million to modernize passenger ferry service in rural and urban communities nationwide. The Ferry Grant Program provides funds to modernize terminal infrastructure, launch new ferry routes, and fund new ferries. Applications are due May 11, 2026.
  • Safe Streets for All NOFO: The DOT announced $993 million for projects and strategies to prevent death and serious injury on roads and streets. Applications are due May 26, 2026.

Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Transit Administration (FTA): FY 2026 Competitive Funding Opportunity: Passenger Ferry Grant Program

This NOFO awards competitive grants for capital projects to support passenger ferry systems in urbanized areas, such as ferry vessels, terminals, and related infrastructure.

DOT FTA: FY 2026 Competitive Funding Opportunity: Ferry Service for Rural Communities Program

This NOFO awards competitive grants for capital projects to purchase, construct, replace, or rehabilitate ferries, terminals, related infrastructure and related equipment (including electric or low-emitting ferry vessels and related infrastructure), planning projects, and operating assistance.

DOT Federal Highway Administration (FHA): Roadside Pollinators Program (RPP) FYs 2023 and 2026

This NOFO awards funding to eligible entities who are seeking to benefit pollinators on roadsides and highway rights-of-way on routes eligible for Federal aid. To be eligible for the program, an applicant must submit its existing pollinator-friendly practices plan. An eligible entity receiving a grant under this program shall use the funds for the implementation, improvement, or further development of the submitted pollinator-friendly practices plan.

Fish and Wildlife Service: F26AS00026-NAWCA 2026-2 US Standard Grants

The U.S. Standard Grants Program is a competitive, matching grant program that supports public-private partnerships carrying out projects in the United States that further the goals of the North American Wetlands Conservation Act. The program promotes partnerships projects that must involve a) only long-term protection, restoration, and/or enhancement of wetland and associated upland habitats to benefit a variety of wetland ecosystems and b) maintaining an abundance of waterfowl (ducks, geese, and swans) and other populations of wetlands-associated migratory birds.

Award maximum: $3,000,000
