This program seeks to develop community capacity to sustain local natural resources for future generations by providing modest financial assistance to local partnerships focused on improving water quality, watersheds and the species and habitats they support. WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to support the planning, design, and implementation of nature-based solutions to enhance protection for coastal communities from the impacts of storms, floods, and other natural hazards while improving habitats for fish and wildlife. WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Eligible applicants include non-profit 501(c) organizations, state and territorial government agencies, local governments, municipal governments, Tribal governments and organizations, educational institutions, or for-profit organizations. Eligibility is limited to projects located within the coastal areas of U.S. coastal states, including the Great Lakes states, U.S. territories, and coastal tribal lands.
