FY 2026 Electric Infrastructure Loan and Loan Guarantee Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to maintain and improve electric infrastructure in rural communities nationwide to increase economic opportunities and quality of life. This program provides loans and loan guarantees for the construction of electric distribution, transmission, and generation facilities, including system improvements and replacement required to furnish and improve electric service in rural areas, as well as demand-side management, energy conservation programs, and on-grid and off-grid renewable energy systems. Click here for more information.

WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Eligible applicants are retail or power supply providers including state and local government entities, federally recognized tribes, nonprofits, and for-profit businesses.

Department of Housing and Urban Development

FY 2025 Choice Neighborhoods Implementation Grants

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to revitalize severely distressed public housing. Funding will support the redevelopment of target housing projects, supportive services for residents of target housing projects, and physical improvements in surrounding neighborhoods. Click here for more information.

WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Eligible applicants include county governments, city or township governments, and public housing or Indian housing authorities. Eligibility is limited to target housing projects that were part of a FY 2023 or earlier Choice Neighborhoods Planning Grant.

TOTAL FUNDING AMOUNT? $75 million

WHEN IS IT DUE? March 9, 2026

FY 2026 National Institute of Corrections (NIC): Technical Assistance (TA) Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to provide technical assistance to address the needs, problems, and specific requirements of federal, state, local, or tribal correctional agencies or other organizations in the field of corrections. Click here for more information.

WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Eligible applicants are federal, state, local, or tribal corrections agencies or other organizations in the field of corrections.

TOTAL FUNDING AMOUNT? Rather than providing monetary awards, this program will provide TA that includes on-site guidance, support, consultation, or training provided by an experienced technical resource provider (TRP) or NIC staff member.

Department of Transportation

FY 2026 Airport Improvement Program (AIP): Apportioned Funds

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to assist in the planning and development of public-use airports, including heliports and seaplane bases, that are included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS). Projects may include improvements related to enhancing safety, capacity, security, and environmental concerns. Click here for more information.

WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Eligible sponsors are public-use airports, including heliports and seaplane bases, that are included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS) and that are publicly owned; privately owned, but designated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as a reliever; or privately owned, with scheduled service and at least 2,500 annual enplanements.

WHEN IS IT DUE? February 27, 2026 (Mandatory LOI); May 1, 2026 (Full Application)

Department of Transportation

FY 2026 Airport Terminal Program (ATP)

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to address the aging infrastructure, improve airport capacity, enhance passenger access, and support the development of a balanced system of airports to meet civil aeronautical demand. Click here for more information.

WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Eligible applicants are airport sponsors normally eligible for funding from the funding agency's Airport Improvement Program (AIP) including public agencies, private entities, state agencies, Indian tribes or pueblos owning a public-use NPIAS airport, and the Secretary of the Interior for Midway Island Airport, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Republic of Palau. 

TOTAL FUNDING AMOUNT? $1 billion
