General Manager Leadership Summit: Exhibitor Spotlight on Allpaid
CSDA endorsed affiliate Allpaid has been helping special districts modernize their payment collection systems with great reported results. Previously named “GovPay,” Allpaid’s mission “to modernize our communities and unlock efficiencies for citizens and governments” is tailor made for the daily rigors of payment collection processes that happen at special districts everywhere.
Districts have reported great satisfaction. Orange County Cemetery District touted the benefits of expanding their collection processes to include phone payments and American Express and noted the accounting report functionality was user friendly and easy to adopt. Montecito Sanitary District had been exploring the idea of credit card payments, but the office closures required during the pandemic made the decision for them. They were excited about the seamless integration into their systems that only took a few days and included great customer support from Allpaid.
Allpaid will have an exhibitor’s booth at the GM Leadership Summit June 27-29 in Olympic Valley. If you are in attendance, be sure to stop in and speak to them about your district’s payment processing systems. For those who are unable to attend this year’s summit, you can find out more at allpaid.com.
Testimonials:
We began using GovPayNet in September 2019 after using a very restrictive terminal-based credit card system through our County Treasury department for several years. Since migrating to GovPayNet, we have seen the following positive impacts:
- We are able to take AMEX now which has made our customer base very happy.
- District staff is now able to process payments over the phone which has provided additional options for customer payments.
- The USB card swipes have allowed each staff member to have one device attached to each of their computers. This has allowed us to help multiple customers at the same time, without interrupting appointments to use the old credit card terminal.
- Printing invoices once the transaction has processed is easy and we are able to print duplicates at a later time as well.
As the main user of ProView for reports, I have been using the reporting function since we began with GovPayNet. I print the reconciliation and payment summary reports daily and have found the system to be user-friendly. These reports allow me to identify settlement payments and transactions for each individual PLC code which has given me the flexibility to track payments coming from 3 separate site locations. I have contacted GPN & ProView support a few times in order to void a transaction or to clarify a process and the customer service representative has been helpful each time. I have also received resolutions in a timely manner.
Overall, our transition to GovPayNet was relatively seamless and has allowed our staff to provide a higher level of service to our customers.
~Brenda Manriquez, Finance & Accounting Manager, Orange County Cemetery District
As a small special district, we have historically been hesitant to implement credit card payments for things such as permit fees, planning review/engineering fees, and other assorted miscellaneous fees. But since we updated our website it seemed the right time to look into that opportunity. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit and our offices were closed to the public, it became even more crucial. Government Payment Services, Inc. (GOVPAYNET) was able to set us up in no time. Seriously, a matter of days. The support GOVPAYNET offered made the implementation easy and seamless. Our customers are loving the convenience of going to our website and paying either by E-Check or Credit Card.
I would recommend GOVPAYNET to any special district interested in accepting credit card payments. Their implementation and support teams are some of the best I have ever experienced. A great experience all around.
~Toni McDonald, District Manager, Montecito Sanitary District
