Tomorrow, April 1, is the deadline for wastewater systems to apply for the state’s Wastewater Arrearage Payment Program. This program is an opportunity for wastewater agencies and wastewater billing entities to receive funding to cover unpaid customer bills accrued during the COVID-19 Relief Period (March 4, 2020 through June 15, 2021). Funding is not competitive, and the state is encouraging all wastewater entities with eligible customer arrearages to apply.
