Opportunity to Provide Input on Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) Land Use Planning Best Practices

By Alyssa Silhi posted 08-05-2021 01:04 PM

The Board of Forestry, in partnership with the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research (OPR), Community Wildfire Planning Center (CWPC), and Cal Fire, is seeking survey input on wildland-urban interface (WUI) land use planning best practices from across the state.

This survey will be used to inform the development of a WUI best practices inventory and case studies that will focus on community scale land-use planning interventions (as opposed to larger, regional/ or landscape scale forest or natural lands vegetative management). The inventory and case studies will be published on the State Adaptation Clearinghouse in 2022.

You can complete the survey here: Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) Best Planning Practices Survey
