Special
District Risk Management Authority (SDRMA)
CSDA
initiated the establishment of the Special District Risk Management
Authority (SDRMA) to help control
the high cost of liability insurance for special districts. It
was created to serve California's special districts. As a public,
non-profit entity, SDRMA is able to provide affordable insurance
designed for special districts. As an SDRMA member, you are not
subject to the profit-driven policies of commercial insurance
companies. Insurance through SDRMA is renewable, affordable, and
structured to serve your needs. Available coverage includes: general
liability, building & contents, vehicle liability, vehicle collision,
business interruption, employee dishonesty, floater (equipment
transportation), boiler & machinery (equipment breakdown), special
events and public officials (including employment liability).
in addition to insurance coverage, SDRMA includes these valuable
services: safety and claims handling workshops, risk reduction
training, contract review - risk analysis, policy manuals on safety
and other risk management issues, on-site risk management review
and risk management videotape library. Your district must be a
member of CSDA to participate in SDRMA. For information on this
program please contact SDRMA at (916) 641-2773 or email them at sdrma@sdrma.org.
