FY 2022 Improving Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Outcomes for Adults in Reentry

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to implement or expand systems approaches that improve outcomes for adults with substance use disorders (SUDs) who are reentering communities following a period of incarceration. The expectation is that corrections systems will develop or refine a trauma-informed standardized screening process for all individuals detained or incarcerated to identify individuals with SUDs, along with co-occurring mental health disorders, and address underlying trauma. Click here for more information.

FY 2022 Connect and Protect: Law Enforcement Behavioral Health Response Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The program supports law enforcement-behavioral health cross-system collaboration to improve public health and safety responses and outcomes for individuals with mental health disorders and co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Click here for more information.

FY 2022 Collaborative Crisis Response and Intervention Training Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program aims to implement transdisciplinary crisis response training to educate and prepare law enforcement, community corrections, and correctional officers so that they are equipped to appropriately interact with people who have behavioral health conditions or intellectual, developmental, or physical disabilities in the course of completing their job responsibilities. FY 2022 Reducing Risk for Girls in the Juvenile Justice System

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to reduce risk factors and promote protective factors for girls who come in contact with the juvenile justice system, and place them on a path toward success, stability, and long-term contribution to society. Funding will support early intervention programs, treatment services, and technical assistance provision. WHEN'S IT DUE? June 3, 2022

FY 2022 Street Outreach Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program funds street-based outreach and education for youth who have runaway or left home without permission, youth experiencing homelessness, and youth living on the street. Projects will provide services that are designed to assist clients in leaving the streets, making healthy choices, and building trusting relationships in areas where targeted youth congregate shall directly or by referral provide treatment, counseling, prevention, and education services to clients as well as referral for emergency shelter.
