Alyssa Silhi joined the California Special Districts Association advocacy team in 2019. Her policy issue areas include the environment and disaster preparedness - including CEQA, emergency planning, and sustainable communities - and public works and facilities.
Before joining the CSDA team, Alyssa most recently worked for a prominent Sacramento contract lobbying firm. Prior to that, she held policy positions at a research and policy based non-profit and with a Sacramento based strategic consulting firm. She has worked in and around policy and politics since 2003.
Additionally, Alyssa currently serves as a member of her local city council and on several regional and local boards and committees. She has no hobbies, as her three young children take up all her spare time - but if she did, you would find her in the pool swimming laps.
