The National Special Districts Coalition provides weekly highlights for CSDA Members on newly-opened federal grant opportunities, as curated by The Ferguson Group (TFG). FY 2023 Revolving Funds for Financing Water and Wastewater Projects Revolving Fund Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to allow qualified nonprofit organizations to create revolving loan funds that can provide financing to extend and improve water and wastewater disposal systems in rural areas. Click here for more information.

FY 2023 Organic Market Development Grants (OMDG)

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to strengthen U.S. economic and national security through place-based investments in regions with the assets, resources, capacity, and potential to become globally competitive, within approximately ten years, in the technologies and industries of the future - and for those industries, companies, and the good jobs they create to start, grow, and remain in the United States. FY 2023 Energy Improvement in Rural or Remote Areas Fixed Award Grant Program

Department of Transportation

FY 2023 Charter School Program (CSP): Grants for Credit Enhancement for Charter School Facilities 

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program will provide grants to eligible entities to demonstrate innovative methods of helping charter schools to address the cost of acquiring, constructing, and renovating facilities by enhancing the availability of loans and bond financing. FY 2023 Healthy Families Community-Based Perinatal Health Initiative 

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program provides funding to develop innovative models for integrating community-based maternal support services (COMSS) into perinatal systems of care. COMSS are social and supportive services that address social determinants of health (SDOH) such as health literacy; pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting education; cultural and linguistic diversity; exposure to trauma, housing; food; and transportation. FY 2023 Green and Resilient Retrofit Program (GRRP) Leading Edge

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to support U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)-assisted multifamily housing by amplifying recent technological advancements in utility efficiency and energy generation, bringing a new focus on preparing for climate hazards by reducing residents' and properties' exposure to hazards, and protecting life, livability, and property when disaster strikes. Click here for more information.

FY 2023 Federal Lands to Parks Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program helps to increase close-to-home recreation opportunities while reducing the federal government’s inventory of real property by allowing states, counties, and communities to acquire federal land and buildings no longer needed by the federal government at no cost on condition they are protected for public parks and recreation. TOTAL FUNDING AMOUNT? Rather than monetary awards this program provides surplus federal land

National Endowment for the Humanities

FY 2024 Public Humanities Project

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program supports projects that bring the ideas and insights of the humanities to life for general audiences through in-person, hybrid, or virtual programming. Click here for more information.
