This is your weekly grant opportunities update from The National Special Districts Coalition. Special districts are either eligible to apply directly, or able to partner with a qualifying entity to apply for any of the grants listed.

 

Department of Housing and Urban Development

FY 2022 Lead Hazard Reduction Grant Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to maximize the number of children under the age of six years protected from lead poisoning by assisting eligible applicants in undertaking comprehensive projects to identify and control lead-based paint hazards in eligible privately owned rental or owner-occupied housing populations. Department of Interior

FY 2023 North American Wetlands Conservation Act Small Grants Program 

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program supports the long-term protection, restoration, and enhancement of wetlands and associated uplands habitats for the benefit of all wetlands-associated migratory birds. Click here for more information.

WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Local and state governments, Native American Tribal governments, institutions of higher education, and nonprofits.

Department of Justice

FY 2022 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program: Local Solicitation

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program supports efforts to prevent or reduce crime and violence. Funds may be used to hire additional personnel and/or purchase equipment, supplies, contractual support, training, technical assistance, and information systems for criminal justice.  Click here for more information.

Environment Protection Agency

FY 2022 Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program accelerates investment in our nation’s water infrastructure by providing long-term, low-cost supplemental loans for regionally and nationally significant projects. Click here for more information.

WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Federal, state, or local governments, agency, or instrumentality, corporations, partnerships; a joint venture; a trust; a tribal government or consortium of tribal governments; or a state infrastructure financing authority.
