The 2020 Census data including population and other demographic information was released last week, FREE to member agencies, by CSDA Endorsed Affiliate, CALCAD. You can download all the data yourself at the following link: https://www.census.gov/programs-surveys/decennial-census/about/rdo/summary-files.html. It is a very large data set, so be ready!
CALCAD has taken the steps to assemble the data and cut this huge dataset down to county-level Census Blocks with associated data to make it more manageable. This data can be very helpful with any upcoming re-districting projects or other economic studies. Simply e-mail Robert Spiva (robert.spiva@calcad.com) with your county, and he’ll send back a link so you can retrieve the Census data package for your county.
