At their June 23, 2020 meeting the Special District Leadership Foundation, a 501c3, supported by CSDA and SDRMA, approved the following items to provide additional assistance to Special Districts in light of Covid-19.

SDLF will support TWO Virtual "So, You Want to be a GM?" workshops between now and the end of 2020. The rate will be reduced to $50 for CSDA Members and $75 for Non-Members. Attendance for each session will be limited to 30 participants.

SDLF will support plans to offer each of the four modules of the Special District Leadership Academy VIRTUALLY one-time each between now and the end of the year with a limit of 30 attendees per session. The two in-person Special District Leadership Academy Conferences will still be held if feasible. The attendee rate for the virtual modules will be reduced to $100 for CSDA Members and $150 for Non-Members. Attendance for each module will be limited to 30 participants.

SDLF will accept virtual attendance of SDLA modules for the District of Distinction and Certificate in Special District Governance programs for 2020 only due to the extraordinary circumstances created by the COVID-19 pandemic.

SDLF has removed district budget limits on all scholarships - except for the website scholarship. In the case of the website scholarships the district budget limit has been increased from $500,000 to $2 million.

Further, the SDLF board has approved expedited approval of scholarship applications by staff to enable the maximum number of participants to participate in programs. Approval can be complete same day or next day rather than once per month.
