These are just some of the topics that CalPERS will be discussing on a webinar they are hosting on Wednesday, April 8, from 10:00-11:30 AM. During the webinar CalPERS executives will update public agency members on the State of the Fund in response to COVID-19.
April 9: The Role of Retirees in the COVID-19 Response
In these unprecedented times, the skill and knowledge of former public servants now in retired status is an essential element to a public agency’s response to the challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic. Recent Executive Orders issued by Governor Newsom have eliminated some of the barriers to the retention of retirees, but others remain. This CSDA webinar, on Thursday, April 9 from 10:00-11:00am, will identify the applicable rules, as modified in response to COVID-19, to ensure continued compliance and avoid any detrimental impact to the retiree and your agency.
