Help CSDA Get Answers and Support for Special Districts

The federal government has taken steps to aid local and state governments in their response to COVID-19, with California anticipated to draw down an estimated $15 billion in federal relief funding. However, the COVID-19 bills that have been signed into law thus far provide limited opportunity for special districts to benefit from these relief efforts.

Special districts, as providers of essential services improving the quality of life for millions in California, need fair access to federal and state resources. CSDA is planning advocacy efforts to position special districts to be included in future aid and assistance.

In order to guide and best inform these advocacy efforts, CSDA urges your district to complete our COVID-19 Survey. The information gathered from your responses will be used to inform CSDA engagement with state and federal leaders on future relief packages, including an anticipated fourth federal COVID-19 package, to address identified needs. Please note we understand the potentially sensitive nature of some of the questions – no information from this survey identifying your district will be shared without your direct explicit consent.

Due to the fast pace of both the impacts to local government and federal and state actions being taken to address needs, we ask that you respond by the close of business on Friday, April 3. However, this survey will be held open and responses after that date will continue to be useful and welcomed.
