California Special Districts Association 2020 Board President and Officers Elected

gavel2_Jeff_Hodge_close.jpgSanta Ynez Community Service District General Manager Jeff Hodge, SDA has been elected as the incoming Board President of the California Special Districts Association (CSDA) for the 2020 term starting January 1, 2020

 

Jeff Hodge, SDA has over 20 years of experience managing special districts. He has managed districts that provide fire, police, water, sewer, trash, cemetery, roads, street lights, parks and recreation, and drainage. He has experience in writing, introducing, and shepherding legislation for special districts; permitting and constructing new water and wastewater facilities; and upgrading existing facilities.

 

“Special districts fulfill a needed role in providing necessary services in our communities. I am excited about my upcoming year as the CSDA President and look forward to increasing the awareness of the important and vital role that special districts play in our communities,” stated Hodge. “I value the resources and support that CSDA provides to specials districts to help them fulfill their mission.” 

Hodge will lead the CSDA Board of Directors that consists of 18 members elected from six statewide networks for 3-year terms. Board officer positions are elected annually by the CSDA Board of Directors to serve on the CSDA Executive Committee.

 

The 2020 CSDA Executive Committee will include:

 

President – Jeff Hodge, SDA, Santa Ynez Community Service District

Vice President – Ryan Clausnitzer, SDA, Alameda County Mosquito Abatement District

Secretary – Stan Caldwell, Mt. View Sanitary District

Treasurer – Elaine Magner, Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District

Past President – Joel Bauer, SDA, West Side Cemetery District

 

Formed in 1969, the California Special Districts Association (CSDA) is a 501c(6), not-for-profit association that promotes good governance and improved core local services through professional development, advocacy, and other services for all types of independent special districts. CSDA’s members provide, water, sewer, fire protection, parks, healthcare, and other essential local services to millions of Californians.
