Districts Stronger Together means that a united voice for special districts makes CSDA’s advocacy powerful and effective. To best represent and serve California’s 2,000 special districts, we depend on your input. Each even-numbered year we distribute an advocacy priorities survey to gather the member feedback which drives our advocacy efforts.
With the 2025-2026 State Legislative Session officially concluded as of August 31, CSDA is preparing for the 2027-2028 Session. On October 22, CSDA’s Legislative Committee will meet for a planning session to give our lobbyists direction for the upcoming Session. CSDA’s success depends on focusing our scope with unified purpose. If everything is a priority, then nothing is a priority.
Please take a moment to help guide our advocacy by completing this survey no later than September 18, 2026.
The survey questions are broken up into the following topics:
- Housing & Community Development
- Public Works & Facilities
- Governance
- Local Revenue
- Human Resources & Personnel
Each of the five topics lists the hottest relevant issues affecting special districts of diverse shapes and sizes. Please help us rank the importance of these issues and feel free to add any we may have missed. At the end of the survey, you are welcome to articulate what should be the single biggest advocacy priority for CSDA in the 2027-2028 Legislative Session.
