CSDA Welcomes Stanislaus as Newest Affiliated Chapter

On January 22, the CSDA Board of Directors voted unanimously to sign an affiliation agreement with the Stanislaus County Special Districts Association. The Stanislaus Chapter becomes CSDA’s 22nd affiliated chapter and joins the Gold Country Chapter as the second local chapter in CSDA’s Sierra Network.

The approval of the affiliation agreement completes a process started last year. Special district representatives from five districts held their first meeting in February 2020 to discuss forming a chapter to enhance the interaction between local districts and CSDA. After three additional meetings, the Chapter formalized its goal of becoming a CSDA-affiliated chapter.

The new Stanislaus CSDA Chapter will meet quarterly to network, engage in advocacy, inform the public of the role of special districts, advance the interests of districts, and provide training to Board members and staff. Any CSDA member district in the County can become a member of the local Chapter.

CSDA is committed to establishing relationships with special districts throughout California through its District Networks Program. CSDA is pleased to welcome the Stanislaus County Special District Association and looks forward to providing resources to the chapter and its member districts. In approving the affiliation agreement, the CSDA Board of Directors expressed their appreciation to the individuals that have led the Chapter formation process.

The first official Chapter meeting will be on March 18 at 3:30pm. The meeting will be virtual via Zoom at this link.  An agenda and additional details will be provided.

Contact information and other details for the Stanislaus Chapter and all CSDA chapters can be found at csda.net/chapter-networks.
