As part of ongoing efforts for special districts’ access to current and future COVID-19 relief for state and local governments, CSDA will host a live webinar discussing how to prepare for accessing potential future relief monies, guidelines for existing relief programs, and best practices in securing funding. All special districts are encouraged to register for this free event to gain insight on how to best position your district for different funding scenarios.

CSDA staff will offer insights on current COVID-19 advocacy efforts, an overview of the Coronavirus Relief Fund program and information to be used for potential future relief funding applications.

Jim Friedl, Conejo Recreation and Park Districts General Manager, will share best practices for preparing documents to demonstrate need. James Zervis, Kern County Chief Operations Officer, will also join to offer perspective on the county’s administrative procedure of its $2 million relief program for Kern County’s special districts, which may be informative for similar potential scenarios throughout the state.

A question and answer period will follow.
