If you know of a local contracting CalPERS agency that exhibits excellence in public service, nominate them for the CalPERS Spotlight on Excellence award. The award winner will be announced at the CalPERS Educational Forum 2012 in September in Indian Wells, CA.

The CalPERS Spotlight on Excellence program honors an exemplary public agency, program or employee who exhibits the spirit of what it means to work in public service, serves as a model for other agencies or employees and has a track record of building community success.

Submit nominations by August 31. Once the submission deadline has closed, CalPERS will post the top five nominees on its Facebook page, and followers will have an opportunity to vote for a winner.

Click here to fill out the nomination form. You do not need to be registered for the Educational Forum in order to submit a nomination.

Orange County Special Districts Respond to Grand Jury Report

Special districts have long been a topic of great interest to the Orange County Grand Jury. In fact, during the past 40 years, the grand jury has conducted 10 investigations and issued just as many reports on Orange County special districts.
