The California Special Districts Association Board of Directors has an open seat in Region 2 for the 2012-2014 term.
This seat is open to CSDA regular member agency staff or elected officials in Region 2 only. Once appointed, this seat will serve until December 31, 2014.
The California Special Districts Association (CSDA) Board of Directors is the governing body responsible for all policy decisions related to CSDA’s member services, legislative programs, education and resources. These functions are crucial to the operation of the Association and to the representation of the common interests of all California special districts.
Serving on the Board requires one’s interest in the issues confronting special districts statewide. In addition, it means traveling to Sacramento for all Board meetings, usually six to eight per year, participating on committees, and attendance at the Special District Legislative Days held in the spring and the Annual Conference held in the fall. CSDA only reimburses directors for board and committee meetings. Within two years of being elected, a board member is also expected to complete all four modules of CSDA's Special District Leadership Academy.
Individuals who are interested in being interviewed for this vacancy can fill out and return this nomination form, along with a letter of interest by January 10, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. A copy of the member district’s resolution or minute action support the nomination must accompany the nomination form.
