The California Legislature has upgraded its legislative information website. The new site makes it easier to track amendments made to a bill as it moves through the legislative process. As a bill gets amended, the website records the revisions along with keeping the changed or stricken language from the previous version. Thus, making it easier to understand how a piece of legislation will change current law. The site has also streamlined its search capabilities, improved bill-tracking subscriptions, and now allows the public to see specifically where a bill affects California law.
