The Orange County Shared Services Program

Independent Special Districts of Orange County (ISDOC) will present a workshop on the new Orange County Shared Services Program on Thursday, January 26. The workshop, held from 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. will give special district board members and managers an opportunity to hear local officials share their agency's experience with the program. Orange County LAFCo will be present to provide detailed information on how the voluntary program works and to help districts sign up to participate. According to ISDOC, local agencies throughout Orange County are working hard to balance rising costs and dwindling revenues while maintaining service levels and improving efficiency. Many are succeeding by partnering with other agencies to share services and resources. Special districts are perfectly situated to be part of this wave of local government collaboration. The workshop will take place at the Municipal Water Districts of Orange County/Orange County Water District Board Room, located at 18700 Ward Street, Fountain Valley, CA 92708.
